History

 

The Center for the integration and rehabilitation for young children CIRIAC was legally founded on the 29th of October 1986. It was founded by three married couples that had one child with cerebral palsy. At that time, there was no specialised service for people with this condition. For his reason they decide to get togeher and found this unique center in the state of Jalisco. This allowed them to provide a professional service to people with this disability. Initually CIRIAC started by providing a service to 7 children with crebral palsy. During its more than 20 years of service, CIRIAC has improved the quality of life of people affected by cerebral palsy.

 

CIRIAC has increases its capacity to provide attention to people with this condition. The services provided by the institution are characterized by the warmth and quality of care provided by its staff.

 

Curretly CIRIAC supports 90 people of all ages affected by cerebral palsy and their families, nearly all of whon have limited income. Along with 35 other institusions, CIRIAC is an active member of the APAC network. Its also part of Red Integra Mexico (RIM) which together with 14 other organisations works to help people with disabilities. RIM has been recognised by the Instituto Jalisciense de Asistencia Social as one of the leading organisations in the state. CIRIAC has successfully acheived the incorporation of all the educational programs recognized by the SEP and the IEEA.

 

With its highly qualified staff who are constantly trainined and updated, CIRIAC remains one of the leading organisations in the country. It is the only organisation in the west of Mexico that offers basis educational and rehabilitation programs to its beneficiaries without any age discrimination.
